Attempt to describe to yourself, how the composition moves your eye around the drawing surface?

 

In this exersize, I want you to use only contour line. Below is an example of how precise I want your lines to be.
This assignment should demonstrate a slow (patient), methodical (methods), and mechanical (machine-like), approach to drawing.
You may use a straight edge (folded paper, etc) to achieve straight lines.

 

 

 

Below is a figure study by Alberto Giacometti, Notice the variety of Line Weight, and layering of forms.
Your forms may be transparent, do not feel that one cannot see through the objects.
*Play with the idea of transparency and opacity
