Positive and Negative Shape / Formal Compostion Project
Negative Shape Composition:
-you are composing an image using only shape and value.
-Lightly apply a one inch border with your H4 pencil
-Focus on the still-life, concentrate and draw slowly the negative shapes
in accurate proportions.
-Measure, sight, and use plumb lines to compare angles.
-Once complete, with instructors satisfaction, follow steps below.
Value:
-Using 3 values (2, 5, and 9) fill in all of the negative shapes.
-You choose which value goes where. (Flat Value)
-You are creating a composition based the Russian Constructionists images
previewed during the lecture.
